Topic: The Purpose of Prayer
Text: Philippians 4:6 (KJV)
4:6 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
Message:
Prayer is a conversation with God. The goal of Prayer is the birthing that proceeds from prayer not the exercise or gesticulation associated with it.
So many people (especially young) pride in their ability to tarry for a long time in their place of prayer forgetting the very aim of prayer.
Prayer is a conversation, and there is no conversation that is one sided.
After talking to your Father (God), He should respond. His response is the birthing, (the brought forth our verse talked about) anytime you leave your place of prayer a conviction should be born.
