Topic: The Spirit of Love
Text: 2 Timothy 1:7
1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Message:
The Spirit of God is love.
Jesus Christ in His jouney to purchase our salvation displayed the highest form of LOVE that humanity has ever and will ever see.
Romans chapter 5 explained to us how that we were helpless, having no hope of eternal inheritance yet Christ came and died for us. Today, thesame Spirit of Love that initiated the process and provision for our redemption is now dwelling in us.
The Spirit of Love is in every believer that has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Saviour.
The Spirit of Love makes it possible for brethren of different nativity to live in perfect harmony.
The Spirit of Love is responsible for God’s compassion towards sinners and he has provided a means for their salvation.
In Philippians 2:5, Apostle paul wrote “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:”
Which mind exactly?
I think he was about the compassionate mind of Jesus. If only we can allow that mind dominate us then the word hatred will soon go into extinction.
